Desay Battery's Bulgarian Energy Storage Project Successfully Commissioned, Setting a New Benchmark in the European Market

SOFIA, Bulgaria, Feb. 9, 2026 — Desay Battery’s 2MW/4.8MWh user-side energy storage project "Sliven" in Bulgaria was officially commissioned on Feb. 9. This milestone marks a key breakthrough for Desay in overseas energy storage, injects strong "Chinese power" into Bulgaria’s green energy transition, and sets a new benchmark for Chinese energy storage enterprises in the European high-end market.


 
As a key overseas project, Sliven adopts 14 sets of Desay’s self-developed 344kWh liquid-cooled battery cabinets, equipped with its self-developed high-safety, long-cycle and high-efficiency energy storage cells. Desay’s integrated BMS and EMS enable real-time monitoring, intelligent diagnosis and panoramic analysis, maximizing the project’s energy, economic and environmental benefits.
 
Guided by the "modular construction and integrated integration" concept, the system combines long-life batteries, intelligent BMS, efficient liquid-cooled thermal management and fire safety systems, forming a safe, efficient and flexible solution that meets Europe’s stringent access standards and complex grid-connection requirements.


 
Facing Europe’s strict access standards and complex grid-connection requirements, Desay’s team leveraged solid technical experience to overcome overseas environment and high-standard challenges, completing commissioning to ensure stable, efficient system operation and enhance local grid stability and renewable energy absorption.
